One is teal velveteen with a peacock motif. I've dragged my feet on this one because it is for a dancer to fit. - her last costume had at least 5 different alterations wanted - she has wide spaced breasts and narrow shoulders making bras very difficult to find and fit without the straps falling off the shoulders and overflow under the arms. The obvious answer here is to use a strapless style bra and have a halter neck strap - no chance - she hates halters and thinks the strapless style is unflattering - so I fiddle and fiddle and fiddle. The bra answer turned out to be a bigger cup size, adjusting the spacer between the cups and bringing the shoulder straps much much closer to the center back. Great thats the top sorted. She also stands on her skirt - making any beading to the hem pointless. I have made her latest costume shorter which she doesnt like so I've added a ruffle.
I need to add sequins to the ruffle seam and to the waist wrap and last peacock motif. Pic is rather blury Ill get another when its finished.
